Lana (Hyrule Warriors)

Lana is a playable character original to Hyrule Warriors. She is a sorceress with light-blue hair armed with a book of magic that she uses to cast barriers to disperse enemies. She is described as a very energetic girl with a vast knowledge of magic and monsters.

Biography

Lana was originally part of one being, Cia, a powerful sorceress who was tasked with maintaining the balance of the Triforce. Cia, able to observe distant eras of Hyrule and those who lived in them with her magic, became infatuated with Link and in turn jealous of Princess Zelda. Her preoccupied thoughts left her vulnerable as she was approached by a spiritual fragment of darkness, belonging to Ganondorf, who saw an opportunity in using her. Due to his interference, Cia became corrupted as the light from her soul was pushed away, which was physically embodied as the sorceress Lana. Like Cia, she too also harbored affections for Link. However, the young sorceress was able to contain her feelings for the hero and accepted that they were not meant to be.

While Cia became the corrupted, wicked side of her former self, Lana became the virtuous side. Cia had opened the Gate of Souls to wage war over Hyrule. Compelled by the darkness to acquire the full Triforce and to revive Ganondorf. Lana had retreated to the forests of Faron Woods, becoming the leader of a band of resistance fighters and determined to end Cia's machinations and defend the Great Deku Tree. Link and his allies met Lana and helped fight against the dark forces to keep the forest safe. When the Gohma monster appeared. The group fought and and the forest was safe. After the battle, they headed to the Valley of Seers, a place where is Cia is at. Cia stole the Triforce from Link and Sheik. The group saw Cia complete the sacred relic to mix Hyrule with the other timeline places. The group split up and went to close the gate of souls, then Lana to Twilight field. At the field, she heard a girl named Agitha crying for help and rushed to save her. After saving Agitha, she showed Lana a special butterfly to find the way to the gate of souls she's been looking for. Midna decided to steal the butterfly from Agitha so she can attack Cia, the one her cursed her. Then, Lana fought with Midna and became allies to find the gate of souls. Later, they arrived at the Twilight Palace which has the gate of souls. They fought against Zant and found the gate of souls. Then, Lana closed the gate. After the gate was closed, Cia appeared in palace and encountered her light half Lana and Midna. Then, Midna used her hair at Cia. The mask broke from the attack. Lana showed an angry face at her and it is revealed that Cia has a face similar to Lana's face. Cia retreats and after all the portals were closed by the heroes. Lana revealed to her allies that she and Cia were the same person and they arrived at the Temple of the Sealed Sword, a temple which has the master sword. Wizzro was being Lana's imposter and he was defeated by the group. The group arrived to the Temple of Souls, a place full of Link statues and paintings. Link was trapped in a room full of Dark Links and Lana and her group rescued him from the Dark Links. After the battle at the Temple of Souls, they group went to the Valley of Seers again. Lana was really concerned for Cia's life. She begged Cia to stop using her power which might her life endangered. Link defeats Cia and Lana ran to Cia's dying body and held her. She told Cia that she cannot always have the person she wants and told her to live it. Cia smiled and disappeared. Then, the Triforce of Power was given to Lana and smiled to her comrades. Link, Zelda, and Lana used the Triforce to bring peace to Hyrule. Lana sadly bids a farewell to them. But later, Ganondorf returns to Hyrule. Ganondorf defeats Lana and stole the Triforce of Power from her and stole the Triforce of Wisdom and Courage from her friends Zelda and Link. At the Gerudo Desert, she is attacked by a group monsters. The forces of Hyrule rescued her and took her to an Oasis to save from the heat. At Ganon's tower, they group fought with Ganondorf to reclaim Hyrule Castle. After Ganondorf was defeated, he became Ganon. Lana, Link and Zelda used to the power of Triforce to stop Ganon bring back peace and harmony to the land. After peace was brought back, she tasked Link and Zelda to return the master sword to its place but she is not the one to do it and says goodbye to Link and Zelda.

In Hyrule Warriors Legends, she meets Link again. Her Triforce of Power was stolen by mysterious figure while she was at the Valley of Seers doing a task with a magical orb. She saw Tetra getting attacked by bird and saved her. She later met King Dapnes, the king of the red lions. They found Cia again in the Temple of Souls but her power is getting stolen her doppelgänger. The group defeated the doppelgänger of her and the doppelgänger was revealed to be Phantom Ganon, the one who actually stole the Triforce of Power from Lana. The group killed Phantom Ganon and Lana, Cia and Link said good bye to Tetra and King Dapnes. The trio went back Hyrule Castle to use the Triforce to bring the land back to normal again. After that, Lana waved happily goodbye to Zelda, Link and Impa and walked happily with Cia to resume their roles as Guardians of Time.

Appearance

Like her dark half Cia, she appears to be a young girl but with light skin, pink lips, long light blue hair tied into a ponytail on the right side with a hair clip with white and orange feathers, and violet eyes. Her fringes has a sapphire gem alongside with a pearl, white and gold braclets with gems and white sleeves, a white cloak on her left shoulder, a necklace with a blue upside down triangle, navy blue tube top, white, blue, purple, and gold skirt with long white stockings, a leg bracelet with a purple gem on top and a blue gem on the bottom on her right leg, and wears short feathered blue and gold boots. According to Midna, her face is similar to Cia's.

Her Guardian of Time costume has lavender hair instead of blue hair. She wears a two pointed hat with a blue gem in the middle, a white dress which is shorter than Cia's Guardian of Time costume, a purple pendant, a bracelet with a blue gem on her left wrist, and lavender stockings with short lavender and white boots.

Personality

Lana appears to be cheerful, selfless, kind, and energetic, but shows a lot of concern for her dark half Cia. Lana is willing to risk her own life or happiness in order to stop Cia's plans.

Abilities

Lana's element is lightning for the spell book. She summon magical barriers or magical blocks and create electricity to her foes. Her second weapon is the deku spear which is a water element weapon. She can summon deku sprouts, slingshots, controlling water, and summoning the Great Deku Tree. Her third weapon is the summoning gate which is a fire element weapon. She can summon cuccos out of the portal, summon monsters, and teleporting.
