Koei Co., Ltd. (株式会社コーエー / 株式会社光栄, Kabushiki-gaisha Kōē / Kabushiki-gaisha Kōei) was a Japanese video game publisher, developer, and distributor. It started as a textile dying business before its founder, Yoichi Erikawa, started authoring historical simulation titles.
Koei eventually merged with Tecmo to become Koei Tecmo.
