Kenta Motokura is a producer and the group manager of the Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 8, mostly known for his work as designer and director of various 3D Mario titles.

History[]

Motokura joined the company on April 2000 and initially worked on character design on various titles.

He was transfered to EAD Tokyo after the company's restructure, where he took the role of design director on the 3D Mario titles, until he eventually became a one of the two directors of Super Mario 3D World and the main director of Super Mario Odyssey.

In 2015, he became the Assistant Manager of the Production Group No. 8 of Nintendo EPD, later on being promoted by 2020 to group manager of this same production group after Koichi Hayashida moved to Kyoto for Production Group No. 10. In this position, Motokura was the producer of Donkey Kong Bananza.
