Kenji Okubo is the current president of The Pokémon Company International. He is responsible for managing all of Pokémon's operations in the United States and the United Kingdom.
History[]
Kenji Okubo first started with Nintendo working on English localization with Nintendo of America. Soon, with the success of Pokémon, he joined The Pokémon Company as the director of international business. He joined Pokémon USA in 2004, rising up the corporate ladder to become executive vice-president. He replaced Akira Chiba when he resigned in 2009. When Pokémon USA and Pokémon UK merged, Kenji Okubo became the administrative head. As the leader of The Pokémon Company International, he is in charge of overseeing licensing, the Trading Card Game and the animated TV series in North America and Europe.
