John Henry is a playable character in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. He's the deuteragonist of the game, and he is best friends with main protagonist Henry Fleming. John's main weapon is the Bear Grenade. His special is the Hammer Blow, which he can use to damage all enemies near him.

Official Description

John Henry was a steel driver for the railroads and a hero of the working man. After a contest with a steam-powered hammer left him nearly dead, half his body was replaced with the machinery he fought against. He served distinction in the Union army and now works at the U.S. embassy.

Trivia

John is based on the African-American folk hero of the same name. Just like John in Code Name S.T.E.A.M., the original John wielded a steam powered hammer.
