Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey-bu: Subette Koronde Dairanto(JP) is a sports/fighting game (focused on ice hockey) for the Famicom released in 1992 and published by Technos. A planned North American version titled Crash 'n the Boys: Ice Challenge was cancelled for unknown reasons, yet it was previewed in Nintendo Power V45. The game was later released on the Wii Virtual Console in 2009, the Nintendo 3DS's Virtual Console in 2013, and the Wii U's Virtual Console in 2014 exclusively in Japan.

Gameplay[]

This game is a combination of hockey and a "beat 'em up" scenario. It's characters are the same style of design as those seen in Super Dodge Ball and River City Ransom (also developed by Technos).

There are four game modes: 1 Player Scenario puts the player in the story mode, building up the team and playing through tournaments; 2 Player Scenario is the same as the first but Player 2 is the goalkeeper; 2 Player Taisen has the two players in a Vs. Mode; and 4 Player Taisen pits Players 1 and 2 against 3 and 4 in the Vs. Mode where Players 2 and 4 are the goalies.

Each character on each team has his own stats: Power, Speed, and Weight. Each team also has their own special abilities.

The game also supports a password system for saving and continuing Scenarios.

Though the object of the game is to score more goals than the opposing team, the rules within the game differ from regular hockey rules. For example, a player can throw the puck into the air to another teammate.

Teams[]

The 8 teams in the game consist of characters of the same design as seen in Super Dodge Ball and River City Ransom. Because of that, one of the teams the player faces is the same team from Super Dodge Ball. That team is appropriately named "Dodge Ball".
