Ice Mario (JP) is a form that has appeared in Super Mario Galaxy. He also appeared as a unlockable character in Mario Kart Tour. After obtaining an Ice Flower, Mario becomes like a sculpture of ice. When Ice Mario touches water or lava, he will turn parts of the surface into hexagonal ice blocks used for stepping and skating. This is one of the few power-ups that did not return in Super Mario Galaxy 2.

A CHILLY kind of flower power, Ice Mario is a form that Mario can take when he grabs an Ice Flower. When he powers up to this transformation, he can walk on any body of water or lava by freezing the liquid in hexagonal platforms and simply walking across.
