Ice Kirby

Ice Kirby is one of Kirby's copy ability forms, introduced in Kirby's Adventure. It is obtained from icy foes such as Pengi and Mr. Frosty. It allow Kirby to use frost breath to freeze enemies into ice blocks which can then be kicked at other enemies. In Kirby's Adventure and its remake, there is a more defensive counterpart to Ice ability called Freeze that functions similar to Ice Kirby, except Kirby surrounds himself with a freezing blizzard instead of breathing icy breath. The helper for Ice ability is Chilly.

Appearance

As Ice Kirby, Kirby wears a crown of ice crystals. In some games his skin turns pale blue and his feet turn purple.

Abilities

Ice Kirby can breath icy air that freezes enemies solid. The frozen enemies can then be kicked sending them sliding into other enemies. Starting with Kirby Super Star, Kirby gains the ability to create freezing blizzards around himself. In some games, Ice Kirby is able to freeze the surface of water and lava letting him walk on top of it.

Ice Kirby appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Additionally, this ability's ice breath is one of Kirby's custom abilities which he has the option of replacing his Inhale with.
