How to Train Your Dragon is a game based on the film of the same name. It was released for the Wii and DS by Activision.

Gameplay

The game allows players to play as either Hiccup or Astrid and their respective dragons, as well as own five other dragons, and customize their color and appearance. The Wii game centers on a VS-style fighting game while the DS version features turn-based combat, with each type of dragon having a unique ability tree. Between battles player are able to create armor for their dragons, as well as participate in minigames.

Plot

The game takes place one year after the events of the first movie, where the village of Berk is holding a dragon tournament that attracts the attention of many of the village's teenagers. Players participate in a series of fights, aiming for the title of "Dragon-taming Champion".

Reception

The game had received mixed reviews, with many feeling that it was too boring and repetitive for older players, and too challenging for younger players.
