Hiroyuki Tani is a game planner at Game Freak. Originally, he worked on CyberConnect2 from 2011 to 2013 until he joined Game Freak in November 10, 2014, where he has worked on the Pokémon series since Sun and Moon.
He was the director of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Passes, The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra; this was followed by his work on Scarlet and Violet as planning director.
