Higurashi When They Cry is a visual novel that originally released in 2002 as a single part before expanding into several parts over the years with the Switch version being one of the most recent compilations. The series first appeared on Nintendo handhelds in 2008 with the Kizuna series by Alchemist on the Nintendo DS. This release includes 22 chapters including 3 new scenarios compared to the previous console release.
