The Hateno Ancient Tech Lab is a location in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a Sheikah laboratory on top of a hill behind Hateno Village in the East Necluda region of Hyrule. The laboratory conducts research on the Runes of the Sheikah Slate. The laboratory is under the direction of Dr. Purah, who is the head of the Sheikah scientists and one of the last survivors of the Great Calamity that left Hyrule in a state of ruin 100 years before the events of the game. The laboratory itself only became one when Dr. Purah took over the establishment during the Age of Burning Fields, with Symin later becoming her assistant.
