Hala(JP) is a character in Pokémon Sun and Moon. He is the Kahuna of Melemele Island, and a member of the Alola Elite Four. He specializes in Fighting-type Pokémon.

Hala is the Kahuna of Melemele Island,and as such is considered to be one of the strongest Trainers on the island. He is Hau's grandfather. He, along with Professor Kukui, gives the player his or her First partner Pokémon. Later on, he hosts a ceremony to celebrate the player and Hau becoming Pokémon Trainers. The player later faces him in a Pokémon battle in the Melemele island challenge's grand trial. He is later revealed to be a member of the newly-established Alola Elite Four.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon[]
Professor Kukui chooses the starter instead of Hala. Hala is no longer part of the Alolan Elite Four, he was replaced by Molayne.
