Grovyle () is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name . It is a Grass Pokémon that made its first appearance in the third generation games Ruby and Sapphire . It is the evolution of Treecko .

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness , Grovyle is a major antagonist until the climax of the story where the protagonist is dragged into the future. He later appears in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon where he requests assistance rescuing Celebi .
