Garet is a character found in the Game Boy Advance classic Golden Sun. In the game, he is considered Isaac's greatest friend who's been with him on his journey since the very beginning. He's a fire (Mars) adept who is capable of generating fire-type Psynergy to not only attack his opponents during dramatic engagements but to also use it when confronted with a particular obstacle that requires such a performance.
A common cliché in RPG's are characters that act as comic relief (a type of humor that occurs during drastic or oftentimes serious occasions). Garet acts as the comic relief for Golden Sun, as he's usually clumsy at all times.
He also shows great amounts of bravery, notably when he risks his own life to save Mia.
