Game Developers Conference logo

The Game Developers Conference (GDC for short) is an American based annual conference that happens a week in late February to late March usually in San Francisco, California. It is the largest meeting of professional game developers in the world where people network, explore an expo, and attend tutorials, lectures and roundtables. The hardware manufacturers often give keynotes. There are also two sets of awards revealed on the last night of the event; the Independent Games Festival and Game Developers Choice Awards. A couple events have spun off from this one like GDC Europe and GDC China.
