The Floating Island of the Ancients is an island that floats above the sea seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl in the Subspace Emissary.

Important locations and inhabitants
The Isle is home to the subspace bomb factory which was the only one not in the realm of subspace. The Isle is also home To the R.O.Bs lead by the Ancient Minister.
History
This was the first location that Tabuu targeted for his world takeover. He first threatened The Ancient Minister into obeying him. He then built factories to build His Bombs, and his Dark Cannons, and kidnapped Pikachu to power the place. He also learned that The on island Research Facility was where Samus Aran kept her Power Suit. As a final act of security he had Ridley guard the island as his on location general.
Subspace Emissary
During the events of the Story, Samus travelled to the facility to find it overrun. she soon however rescued Pikachu and found her power suit. After fighting two False Copies of herself she soon went up against Ridley.
Across the island Olimar, Captain Falcon, Diddy Kong, and Donkey Kong were breaking into the factory.
Destruction
Soon Samus, Pikachu, Olimar, Captain Falcon, Diddy Kong, And Donkey Kong all arrived in the Factory Hangar. There they saw The Ancient Minister watch sadly as the R.O.Bs loaded up the bombs for distribution. Suddenly a holographic Ganondorf ordered the R.O.Bs to blow them all up, then and there. This explosion would kill all the R.O.Bs and Destroy the Island, But in turn it would create a portal large enough to fly the city sized Subspace gunship through. Enraged and saddened by this The Ancient Minister tried in vain to stop the explosion but Ganondorf Ordered the R.O.Bs to kill him. the R.O.Bs shot him till he caught fire and left him to burn.
As the Fighters tried to stop the explosion, the Ancient Minister Burst from his flaming Robes to reveal he was R.O.B. However it was too late to stop the countdown and R.O.B went into a state of shock. Captain Falcon then Called the Falcon Flyer, and the fighters flew away just as the place exploded. Later, The Brawlers then used the Isle portal to enter the subspace to defeat Tabuu.
Afterwards
After the Brawlers have defeated Tabuu and bring the colonies back to it's normal state, The Isle is shown to be the only bombed location that didn't come back to normal. This is due to the numerous amount of bombs that exploded at one time, the only thing that is left of the Isle is an X of light.
