The Flipper.
Flipper, which first appeared as an unpredictable obstacle in Balloon Fight for the NES, was known to hang in mid-air and attack you, friends, and/or foes who make any contact with its bumper balls and occasionally cause accidents to anyone. This irksome item was also in Balloon Fight VS and later in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a throwing item and along with a Balloon Fighter trophy. If thrown, hung in air and made useful as a difficult obstacle for smashers trying to recover.
Flipper has also been remade as a DSiWare game, released in North America on February 22, 2010.
