The Wizzerd had an atttack power of 6, a defence of 3, and was able to raise its HP, power itself up and even clone itself to confuse Mario.

Though in most cases in Paper Mario, an enemy with Dark in its name was usually more powerful than its main species, but this was not the case with the Wizzerd, which was stronger than the Dark Wizzerd.
It should also be noted that the Dark Wizzerd was, in most cases, fought by Mario before the Wizzerd, as the the Dark Wizzerd was fought in the Palace of Shadow, and the Pit of 100 Trials was not a compulsory game objective.
