A South Park game was in development for the Game Boy Color and was due for release around 1998 or 1999. However it was canceled days before being sent to Nintendo by the show's creators, Trey Park and Matt Stone, due to the belief that the system was more marketed towards children. The game was reworked as Maya the Bee for Europe and The New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley for North America. In 2018, a ROM of the game had been released online.[1]
