Fifth Pokémon generation

All Pokémon from Generation V, including forms

The Fifth Pokémon Generation started with the games Pokémon Black and White. It increased the total number of Pokémon by 156 for a total of 649.

The Fifth Generation takes place in the Unova Region.

There were only two sets of main games for the fifth generation:

Trivia

• The Unova Pokedex was the only Pokedex to start with a Mythical Pokémon and not a First partner Pokémon.
• The fifth generation had the largest amount of new Pokémon, at 156 and Gym Leaders at 14, since Black 2 and White 2 had their gym leaders changed.
• This is the last generation to introduce a Pokémon with a gender ratio of three males to one female, which is the Timburr evolutionary line.
