Fifth Pokémon generation

The Fifth Pokémon Generation started with the games Pokémon Black and White. It increased the total number of Pokémon by 156 for a total of 649.

The Fifth Generation takes place in the Unova Region.

There were only two sets of main games for the fifth generation:

Trivia

• The Unova Pokedex was the only Pokedex to start with a Legendary Pokémon and not a Grass-Type Pokémon.
• The fifth generation had the largest amount of new Pokémon, at 156 and Gym Leaders at 14, since Black 2 & White 2 had their gym leaders changed.
