Farore is a recurring character in the The Legend of Zelda series. She is named after Farore, the Goddess of Courage. She debuted in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, where she is the Oracle of Secrets who oversees said secrets.

History[]

Unified Timeline[]

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap[]

In The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, she is found alongside Nayru and Din in the Happy Hearth Inn. She says that she is looking for a house, if Link helps her she will give him her Charm. Farore's Charm can be stored in an Empty Bottle. Her charm will turn Link's tunic purple and will boost his attack and defense. Even if it boost both Link's attack and defense, it is not as effective as are Din and Nayru's own charms in boosting one of those attributes.

Downfall Timeline[]

Oracles[]

In both Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Farore is located in the Maku Tree where she will allow him to access new game features by using secrets in the form of passwords obtained in the opposite version of the game currently played. The book that appears to her left, titled "Farore's Memory", records any previously used passwords.

Descriptions[]

Minish Cap figurine[]

  • "She's looking for a house in Hyrule to move into. She's a very helpful person, but people take advantage of her kind nature. This really bothers her."

Trivia[]

  • There was originally planned to be a third game to accompany Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, which had the working title of The Legend of Zelda: Mystical Seed of Courage, which would have presumably featured Farore as the main focus as Din and Nayru were both the main focus of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. However, Capcom ultimately decided that it would be too complex to link three different games, so they abandoned the third version and integrated Farore into the two remaining games as the "Oracle of Secrets".
