Famicom Golf: Japan Course is a game released exclusively for the Famicom Disk System that is based on the Golf game released prior to this title's release date. It featured Mario as the playable character and had courses that were based on real courses in Japan. A sequel was released called Famicom Golf: U.S. Course that featured courses in the United States. A rare golden colored copy was given out to whoever won a competition in Japan. Exclusive stages were present on it that weren't present in the regular version of the game.
