The move is arguably the most popular in the entire series as, when performed, Captain Falcon yells out "Falcon Punch". It is also considered Captain Falcon's signature move. It's also very potent and can send opponents who aren't high in damage off of the screen, though it will take a bit of time to execute. If KirbySwallows Captain Falcon he'll be able to perform the attack, and will also, in his own voice, say "Falcon Punch". In Brawl, Snake will scream "Falcon Punch" when he does a special taunt next to Captain Falcon.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Captain Falcon is capable of turning around while performing the move in case an enemy jumps over his head when he's attempting to attack them. When he does follow through with the attack, fire will surround his body in the shape of a falcon, referencing his name.
