Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth (JP) is the fifth main entry in the Etrian Odyssey series. It has the biggest changes in that classes are restricted to certain races which also give skills.

The game was received favorable in Japan with Famitsu giving it a 35 (8/9/9/9) out of 40. It sold 92,518 copies on launch week. On Metacritic, Etrian Odyssey V received "generally favorable" reviews holding a metascore of 80/100 based on 34 critic reviews.[1] On whatoplay.com, it receives an aggregate score (playscore) of 8.31/10.[2]
