Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is 3DS dungeon crawler first released in Japan in summer of 2012. The game was released in North America on February 26, 2013; it was also released in Europe in August 2013. It is the fourth entry in the Etrian Odyssey series and the first on the 3DS.

Gameplay

Players generate teams to tackle dungeons made of 5 members in 2 rows of 3. New teams can be made at any time at no cost except. In these dungeons, player will travel in first person, randomly encounter monsters and avoid special enemies that are very strong called FOEs. To help the player, the lower screen acts as a map which the player can fill and mark. As player's team levels up, the characters can gain more skills and eventual get a subclass. Taking on quests will earn the player more XP and better items. Taking on the Outland Count's requests will progress the main plot.

Plot

The people of Tharsis have lived in the presence of the giant tree Yggdrasil and it was left unexplored until the Outland Count sponsored explorer guild to explore a recently discovered labyrinth and then to find out the mystery of Yggdrasil.

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan received "generally favorable" reviews on Metacritic holding a metascore of 84/100 based on 41 critic reviews.[1] While whatoplay.com gives an aggregate score (playscore) of 8.76/10 based on 13 critics and 7,360+ gamer ratings.[2]
