The Essence of Despair is a treasure in Pikmin 2 that is actually a jade mounted on a silver circle. It is found on the 2nd sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos where it is dropped by one of three Fiery Bulblaxes. It is the 112th treasure on the List of Pikmin 2 treasures in the NTSC version and the 111th in the PAL version.
