"Enter Pikachu!" is the first episode of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, and the 1,088th episode of Pokémon the Series overall. It premiered in Japan on November 17, 2019, and in the United States on June 12, 2020. It is the season premiere of the anime's 23rd season. The episode serves as a prequel to Pokémon the Series overall. In the English dub, it is the first episode to air on Netflix.
Plot[]
In this prequel episode, Pikachu's backstory as a Pichu, his being cared for by a Kangaskhan after falling off a cliff, and the events leading to his evolution into a Pikachu and eventually meeting Ash Ketchum are revealed.
