Electrodrome is a track in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is the third course of the Star Cup.

Layout[]

The course is set up around a club with several lights. There is a short gliding section at the start followed by a curve. After that, the track turns into antigravity. The inside curves lack guardrails. The track splits in two paths, one that's green and another that's pink. The paths transition into music staves which end with a gliding section. Along the whole anti-gravity section, there are nodes that the player can hit for extra speed. There is a Piranha Plant in the final curve though the player can use a mushroom to cut across the area behind the Piranha Plant.

Notes from the Game's Soundtrack about This Track's Music[]

  • Make it Shimmer and Make it a Rare Dance Mezzic in the BGM Mario Kart 8 During the game Shy Guy and Koopa Troopa Dance

- Shiho Fujii

Trivia[]

  • During the countdown to the race, the large screen in the background shows a spectrum analyzer before switching to a party scene. This spectrum analyzer is the same one seen in the third trailer that first showed Electrodrome.
  • On the Prima Guide to Mario Kart 8, the book has a typo where "Electrodrome" is spelled "Electrodome". When the reader gets to the Time Trials page after N64 Rainbow Road, there are no typos with Electrodrome.
  • Stylized ? Blocks can be seen around the course below some of the giant screens.
