Ecks vs. Sever is a first-person shooter video game released in 2001 for the Game Boy Advance. It's a single-player game and one of the few first-person shooters to appear on the Game Boy Advance.
A PlayStation 2 version was also in the works, but it was ultimately cancelled.
Gameplay[]
The player chooses which character to control, Ecks or Sever. Both character's stories intertwine with each other but they have separate missions and levels.
The enemies appear as 2D sprites in a 3D level.
Production[]
Ecks vs. Sever was based on an early version of the script for the 2002 film Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, starring Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu. The game ended up being released a year before the film, whose script had changed since then.
After the film was released, a new game titled Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever was also released for the Game Boy Advance. This second game followed the movie more closely.
Critics rate the film as one of the worst of all-time. Both the games, on the other hand, have had more positive reviews than the film on which they were based.
