The Earth Temple is an ancient temple located beneath the Great Sea, directly bellow Headstone Island. It is where the Earth Sage is praying to the Gods for granting power to the Master Sword. Since the last Earth Sage, Laruto, was killed by Ganondorf's forces, it has been overrun by monsters led by Jalhalla and serves as a dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Navigation[]

The temple's main theme is the duality between light and darkness and a lot of the puzzles focus on manipulating light thanks this dungeon's main item, the Mirror Shield, a lot of the enemies found in this dungeons are undeads that are also weak to light. In fact, this whole dungeon appears to also have been some sort of tomb before it was taken over by Ganondorf's army, a lot of stone coffins can be found everywhere inside the temple.

Another element used to solve puzzles is Medli, which directly help Link in this dungeon and can even be controlled by using the Command Melody. She is able to fly to some place that would be unreachable for Link and her harp can also reflect light like the Mirror Shield is able to, which enables more complex light based puzzles. A group of Stalfos serves as the mini bosses and are guarding the Mirror Shield while Jalhalla himself serves as the Boss.
