Dyna Blade is a Kirby series character who first appeared in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic, Kirby Super Star. She is a large bird with multi-colored feathers and wings as sharp as swords. Dyna Blade is sometimes an enemy and at other times is an ally to Kirby.

Kirby Super Star[]

She appeared as the main antagonist in the sub game Dyna Blade. In this sub game, she is destroying Dream Land's crops. After Kirby defeats her at the end of the sub game, he finds out the only reason Dyna Blade was to feed her chicks. Kirby then feeds the chicks with Whispy Wood's apples and teaches them to fly, pleasing Dyna Blade. Later, in the sub game Revenge of Meta Knight, she helps Kirby get back on Meta Knight's Halberd ship after he is knocked off.

Kirby Air Ride[]

Dyna Blade appears in the racing game Kirby Air Ride. She is an event in the free ride mode City Trial. At random times, Dyna Blade will swoop down and begin to attack Kirby. The only way to damage her is to fly into her head. The player receives a check on the bonus grid for doing this. It is also possible to receive a bonus for being trampled by her. And everytime she is hit in the head, a power-up will drop.

Dyna Blade - Brawl Trophy

Dyna Blade's trophy.

In the Wii video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Dyna Blade is a collectable trophy that will be featured in the Kirby section. The only way to obtain it is to complete All-Star Mode on very hard or use a hammer on it in the Challenges section of the game. It should also be noted that the artwork featured above is in the game as a sticker.

Trophy description[]

"A monstrous bird with white- and rainbow-colored bladed wings and huge talons. Challengers who face Dyna Blade are forced to contend with her speed and armor plating that can reflect any attack. The only weak point is her head. In Kirby Super Star, she's destroying Dream Land's crops, but there's apparently a perfectly good reason for this.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]

Dyna Blade appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a spirit that can be summoned by using cores of Super Star, Beat, Cucco and a shield core.
