Dragon Slash is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. It is a move that does extra damage to monsters in the Dragon family.
Effect[]
Dragon Slash does 50% more damage to dragons. When used on other enemies, it does the same amount of damage as a regular attack. This skill is most effective when combined with the Dragonsbane sword, as the aforementioned sword also does increased damage to dragons.

The hero learns this skill after putting 9 skill points into the sword skill. Angelo cannot learn this skill, despite the fact that he can wield swords.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Dragon Slash is obtained by putting 3 skill points into the sword skill. As such, it can only be used when a sword is equipped.
