Dragon Quest: Wars is a DSiWare video game by Intelligent Systems and Square Enix. This is the first time that Nintendo and Square Enix have directly developed an RPG together since Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, though they did cooperate in various titles such as the Game Boy Advance Final Fantasy remakes and Crystal Chronicles. The game is a tactical role-playing game that will cost the player 500 Nintendo Points when purchased. This is one of the few Nintendo developed games that Nintendo themselves have not published.

Gameplay

The game supports up to four players via online or local multiplayer.

Development

While the game is developed by Intelligent Systems, various Square Enix employees were naturally involved with the title. Series creator Yuji Horii is the game's supervisor, Akira Toriyama is the game's artist, and Kouichi Sugiyama has composed the music for the game.
