Disney's Party (Disney no Magical Park in Japan) is a GameCube and GBA video game released in early 2003. It is obviously influenced by the Mario Party video games that initiated in 1999, though were also popular during this time period as well.
Gameplay[]
Like the games in the Mario Party series, Disney's Party features a board and a multitude of mini games. Playable characters consist of Mickey Mouse characters including Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Donald, and of course Mickey himself. The game is intended to be played with multiple people though if you wish you can play alone. The character who explains all of the rules is Scrooge McDuck.
Reception[]
The game received "mixed to negative" reviews from critics, Metacritic gave the GameCube version a score of 39%, based on three reviews. Game Rankings gave the Game Boy Advance version a 40.3% while the GameCube version was given a 37.4%. IGN gave the GameCube version a 5.2 out of 10, saying, "Is the kingdom able to retain its magic?". While they gave the Game Boy Advance version a 4 out of 10, writing, "If this is a party, someone forgot to bring the chips and beer."
