Diskun

Diskun was the mascot for the Famicom Disk System in Japan. Diskun appeared on the top left of every Famicom Disk System manual and was yellow just like the Famicom Disk System disks. Nintendo once held a Famicom Grand Prix: F-1 Race contest in which the players with the highest scores would receive a Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch game in a Diskun shaped container.

Appearances

Smash Table Tennis

In Smash Ping Pong, a game released exclusively in Japan for the Famicom, Diskun appears on the title screen and on the game win screens.

Super Smash Bros. series

Diskun appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube as a trophy that could be obtained after the player achieved every bonus.

The following is Diskun's trophy description:

"This little guy is the adorable mascot for a Nintendo Entertainment System peripheral device released in 1985. Using the disk system, you could rewrite games for 500 yen, an epochal and economical feature. Funnily enough, the instruction booklet was sold separately for 100 yen. The disk system's first game was The Legend of Zelda."
