Dipplin ^{(JPJapanese: カミッチュ

Romaji: Kamicchu)} is a Grass/Dragon type Pokémon introduced in Ninth generation games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, in the Teal Mask DLC. It is one of the three branched evolved forms of Applin, the others being Flapple and Appletun. It evolves into Hydrapple when leveled up while knowing Dragon Cheer.

Physiology and Behavior[]

Dipplin may be a combination of di- (prefix meaning double), dip, and Applin.

Despite its evolved form being unreleased at the time, Dipplin was able to use Eviolite upon its debut in The Teal Mask.
Dipplin and Hydrapple are the only:
- Evolutionary relatives introduced within a single generation that are not next to each other in National Pokédex order, with Dipplin being number 1011 and Hydrapple being number 1019.
- Dragon-type Pokémon consisting of multiple bodies.
Dipplin is the only Pokémon that requires a TM to evolve, as it cannot learn Dragon Cheer without it.
Dipplin, Chansey and Porygon2 are the only non-fully evolved Pokémon that evolve from another Pokémon through the use of an item.
