Dear & Decorations are third sphere angels which are on the ninth rank of the Hierarchy of Laguna, the chain of command of the Angels of Paradiso. They are the weakest and most basic Angels and look like heads with angel wings. They are very limited in their spiritual power and are the one who appear the most before regular humans' eyes. They are responsible for love and as such are often mistaken for Cupid.
Bayonetta series[]
Bayonetta[]
They are the most basic enemies of the game, Decorations often appears to assist some of the weakest Angels like Dear or Affinity. When dear is with the Decorations, they will orbit around him and create a shield to protect him from Bayonetta's attacks but this shield will break eventually if the Umbra Witch keep attacking it. Dear & Decorations charge their enemies or fire weak projectiles as their main means of attacks.
Bayonetta 2[]
Dear is nowhere to be found in Bayonetta 2 and Decorations appears by themselves to support other type of Angels during the chapters set 500 years in the past.
Hierarchy of Laguna[]
"With limited spiritual powers, this angel is spotted comparatively frequently within the physical, human world. Dears, with their dignified faces, are surrounded by the countless childlike faces of their Decorations. Capriciously firing arrows, they are often mistaken for Cupid. It is said that one of their arrows, shot through the heart of a believer, can be as infatuating as the goddess of love."
