The Daytripper (known as Royal Racer in Europe) is a medium-sized kart that appears in Mario Kart Wii. Its bike counterpart is the Sugarscoot. The Daytripper is unlocked by winning the 150cc Leaf Cup. The Daytripper has the best handling out of any medium kart, as well as good acceleration, off-road, and mini-turbo. Its weight is slightly above average. However, it is the slowest medium kart in the game and has below average drifting. It returned to the series in Mario Kart Tour

Super Smash Bros.[]

The kart makes an appearance as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U with Peach driving it. It can appear randomly as a reward in the game's various modes.

Trophy Descriptions[]

You may think it doesn't look like a racer. You may think it would look more at home on a carousel. But Peach will have the last laugh as she sails past the finish line, leaving you in the dust. The Daytripper's great handling lets it breeze through even the trickiest of courses–and what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in acceleration.
