The Dark World is basically a corrupted Hyrule in the SNES video game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. In the game, Ganondorf constructs this parallel world using the Triforce he stole in the events that took place in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. When the protagonist Link enters this world, he'll turn into a bunny rabbit whith limited to no abilities. The only way he can return to his normal self is if he manages to use the Moon Pearl. If the player saves their game in the Dark World, they can choose to either begin at the last building the visited or on top of a pyramid in the center of the map. In the end of the game, the Dark World is ultimately destroyed, in a sense.
