Dark Meta Knight is a recurring villain in the Kirby series. He is the Mirror World version of Meta Knight, but whereas Meta Knight possesses a chivalrous nature and ultimately cares about Kirby and the people of Dream Land, Dark Meta Knight is ruthless and only cares about the orders of his boss, Dark Mind. Dark Meta Knight first appeared as the secondary antagonist in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, where he, along with Dark Mind, corrupt the Mirror World causing it to only reflect evil desires. He captures Meta Knight and attempts to off Kirby but ends up accidentally splitting Kirby into four instead. He later reappears as a secret boss and the driving force behind Queen Sectonia's madness in Kirby: Triple Deluxe and as a playable character in Kirby Star Allies.

Appearance[]

When he is defeated, Dark Meta Knight breaks apart and shatters, like a broken mirror. This is referenced if he were to die in Kirby Star Allies His appearance is similar to that of Meta Knight, but is different in coloration. His skin is gray, his cape is tattered, and his eyes are more slanted. also, in an official artwork, it is shown that he has a scar over his left eye on his mask. The sword he wields is a copy of Galaxia, the difference being that it is silver, instead of gold and the hooks are square shaped. He has a different mindset than the real Meta Knight in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, not only never or hardly showing honor, but is nothing but pure, conceited evil. In Kirby Star Allies, however, he seems to have reformed.
