Color a Dinosaur is a game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. It's a virtual coloring book featuring pictures of dinosaurs.
Gameplay[]
The player starts the game by selecting one of sixteen different dinosaurs. They then can use one of four color pallets to color a dinosaur. However, there is no option to save a finished picture.

This is a list of all 16 available dinosaurs to color. Their names come from the instruction manual.
Stegosaurus | A dinosaur who's name means "roof lizard". | |

Viktor | An original dinosaur created by Virgin Interactive. | |
Triceratops | A dinosaur who's name means "three-horned face". | |

Pterodactyl | A dinosaur who's name means "winged finger". | |
Crested Dinosaur | A dinosaur with a crest. | |
Duckbill | A dinosaur with a duckbill | |
Vern | An original dinosaur created by Virgin Interactive. | |
Crested Duckbill | A dinosaur with a crested duckbill. | |
Vera | An original dinosaur created by Virgin Interactive. | |
Mini Stegosaurus | A miniature version of the Stegosaurus. | |
Tyrannosaurus Rex | A dinosaur who's name means "tyrant lizard". | |
Torosaurus | A dinosaur who's name means "perforated lizard". | |
Protoceratops | A dinosaur who's name means "First Horned Face". |
Reception[]
The September 1997 issue of Nintendo Power presented the votes of twelve staff members, to list their top 100 games of all time. This list also includes a 10 worst games of all time, placing Color a Dinosaur at 9th. The article described the game as Mario Paint "without anything fun in it" and that "even the producer of the game (Seth, wherever you are) would roll his eyes when reminded of this prehistoric patsy."
