Close to You is a CGI Pikmin animated short film released by Nintendo, animated by their animation subsidiary Nintendo Pictures, in their first short film.[1]
The short was first uploaded on October 7, 2025 on YouTube and its social media platforms without the Pikmin characters, and the music was calmer.[2] The day after, the upgraded short was released on the Nintendo Today! app.[3]
Plot[]
The 3-minute short with no dialogue is about a baby chasing after her fleeing pacifier while her mother left the room to answer the door, as a swarm of Pikmin invade the room. The baby then learned to stand up and walk, much to the mother's joy, and got her pacifier back - the Pikmin also celebrated with blooms.
