Clawroline, also known by her original name, Carol, is a character in the Kirby series; first appearing in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. She is an anthropomorphic female leopard and second-in-command of the Beast Pack. Kirby encounters her in the level Danger Under The Big Top, which serves as the boss stage for World 3, Wondaria Remains. Once a regular leopard, she mutated and gained sapience due to a mysterious psychic energy emanating from the Forgotten World. She can extend the sword-like claws on both her hands and use them as incredibly lethal weapons or fire them off as sharp projectiles to penetrate her foes. In her spare time, she works as an acrobat at Wondaria circus.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land[]
Clawroline is a major antagonist in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, being second-in-command of the Beast Pack. Prior to the events of the game, the Forgotten World was abandoned by its original inhabitants and Carol the leopard and Leon the lion became the co-rulers of the animal kingdom. At some point, Leon discovered Fecto Forgo, who brainwashed him and caused him to speak in a different language. Carol decided to follow Leon, now named Leongar, and join the Beast Pack under the name Clawroline. She then set out to hunt down and defeat Kirby and Elfilin, and waits for them at Wondaria Remains, an abandoned amusement park that serves as the third world they explore. They encounter her there inside a tent where she waits for them on a stage, disguised in a hat and cape. When they approach, she throws them off, and she and Kirby engage in battle. Eventually, she is defeated. She later fights them again in Redgar Forbidden Lands along with Gorimondo and Sillydillo, but once again, she's defeated.
After Fecto Elfilis's defeat, Clawroline rescues Elfilin after the latter used his power to close a huge dimensional rift that Fecto created to put Planet Popstar and the Forgotten Land on a collision course with each other. After this and the rest of the Beast Pack celebrate their victory, due to now being freed of Fecto Forgo's mind control, Clawroline notices Leongar is still missing, so she searches for him. While in Waddle Dee Town she finds a dimensional rift at the top of the lookout tower and calls up Kirby and Elfilin to help investigate. Just when they get to the top, the rift opens and sucks them in, leading them to Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams, a world created by Fecto Forgo's dream, and where their surviving spirits, known as Soul Forgo, took Leongar's body and shattered his soul into hundreds of pieces to use his empty body as a vessel, so Kirby and Elfilin start gathering the pieces of his soul. They eventually manage to collect all the pieces of Leongar's soul, and Kirby subsequently defeats him as Fecto Leongar after Soul Forgo repossesses him, as well as Morpho Knight, who appears after that. However, in the aftermath, they were unable to wake up Leongar again, much to their worry, Just then, Clawroline and the rest of the Beast Pack come along and revive Leon by bringing him more pieces of his soul. He then awakens, after which Clawroline gives him a hug and the rest of the Beast Pack celebrates the return of their king with Kirby and Elfilin before heading back to the Forgotten Land.
Trivia[]
- Clawroline bears a strong resemblance to the Sonic the Hedgehog character Rouge the Bat. Both are anthropomorphic animals who wear eye shadow, have curvaceous builds that are agile and strong and are high ranking members of their respective groups (Clawroline being second-in-command of the Beast Pack and Rouge being a secret agent for the government). Both also start out as antagonists before becoming allies of the protagonist.
