Chun-Li is a character from the Street Fighter series. She hails from China. She made her game on a Nintendo system, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior for the Super Nintendo in 1992.

Personality[]

Chun-Li is a resourceful and dedicated interpol agent. She takes her job seriously and is always searching for answers about her father.

Biography[]

Early life[]

In Street Fighter Alpha II, it is revealed that Chun-Li is looking for clues about the recent murder of her father. A friend of her father, Gen, turns her in the direction of the criminal organization Shadaloo, and more specifically, the leader M. Bison. She hunts him down, but he escapes, and she swears vengeance.

Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition[]

Chun-Li has retired since Akuma killed M. Bison. Bored with retirement, she starts looking into recent Murders and kidnappings. She and Guile take a deeper look and decide they are the work of Shadaloo and S.I.N. She then, along with Guile and Cammy, joins the tournament. She decides she is fighting not just for her father anymore, but for herself.

During the tournament she meets a great many people, including Abel, who inquires about Shadaloo. She also runs into Juri, but is un-able to arrest her. Eventually she finds Gen, but can't get any information out of him about her father. Eventually she infiltrates the S.I.N facility where she meets Vega. They fight, and Vega escapes by activating the building's self-destruct. She is rescued at the last moment by Guile and Abel.

After the Tournament, she returns home, and decides not to let her father's death rule her life anymore.

Trivia[]

  • A character in Mario Tennis: Power Tour bears resemblence to Chun-Li in the Island Open (Note: You can find her when playing as Mel).
  • Chun-Li is the first female fighting character in video game history.
