Chris Stamper is one of the co-founders of Rare, along with his brother Tim Stamper. He initially worked with his brother Tim on Ultimate Play the Game programming most games on the ZX Spectrum until they established Rare in 1985. Chris worked there as Technical Director, where he was mostly in charge of various hardware and technology production, including the arcade cabinets of Killer Instinct.

He left the company in 2007 along with his brother Tim.
