Chespin (JP) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a Grass-type Pokémon that made its first appearance in the sixth generation games X and Y.
Physiology and Behaviour
Chespin is a bipedal, mammalian Pokémon. The front of it's body is light brown in coloration, with the triangle markings on it's face and it's arms a darker brown. It's back and the top of it's head is covered by a tough shell, which is colored green, while the tip of it's tail is orange. It has a small dark brown spot on it's sheel, on the left hand side. It has a small pink triangular nose, and two long claws on the end of it's feet.
Despite having a curious nature that tends to get it in trouble, Chespin keeps an optimistic outlook and does not worry about small details.

Main Pokémon games
Chespin made its first appearance in the games Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. In these games, Chespin is one of the three Starter Pokémon that can be chosen by the Player, along with Fennekin and Froakie.
Other Pokémon games
Chespin is an obtainable Pokémon in the upcoming game Pokémon Battle Trozei.
Super Smash Bros. series
Chespin appears in as a Pokeball Pokémon using Seed Bomb.

Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokémon. This Grass-type Pokémon is one of the Pokémon you ca choose when starting a new adventure. The spikes on its head could stop a truck. It can evolve into Quilladin. Its Seed Bomb move will scatter bombs around it that instantly explode.

Origin and inspiration
Chespin is based on a hedgehog and a chestnut.
It's Japanese name, Harimaron, is a combination of 蝟 harinezumi (hedgehog), 針 hari (needle), and marron (French for chestnut).
