Cherry-Go-Round is a 4-player and duel minigame in the Mario Party DS game. The aim of this minigame is to spin the cherry around at the spot as many times as possible within the five-second limit before throwing it; the player that has thrown it the furthest wins.

The minigame itself is inspired by the Olympic hammer throw events where athletes spin a hammer at their spot quickly before throwing it with as much force as they can. This is replicated here with the use of cherries.

SettingEdit

The minigame takes place upon an infinitely long chocolate and vanilla striped cake, in a patisserie shop. The characters all stand at one end, carrying a real-sized cherry.

GameplayEdit

Within the five-second limit, draw as many clockwise rings on the lower screen rapidly, as much as possible. The more swirls you do, the greater the force your character will throw his/her cherry away.

TriviaEdit

  • The name is derived from 'merry-go-round', which is a carnival ride that consists of children-themed model vehicles spinning around in a circle.
