Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO (JP) is a fighting game developed by Capcom and released for the Arcade, then ported to the Nintendo GameCube, among other platforms. It's a crossover of both Capcom and SNK franchises, a sequel of a game released in 2000, the fourth collaboration between the two companies, and the Capcom's nineth.

Within the four systems that the game was launched, two of them got the EO in the title (one of them being the GameCube version), standing for Easy Operation; This is reflected in the game options, before choosing a team of fighters, you can select the ISMs (as seen in Street Fighter Alpha 3), with the GC-ISM simplifying the commands for the GameCube Controller layout; While the default option (AC-ISM), keeps the six button input as in the Arcade.

As being a crossover, the game consists in having the most famous and popular characters from both Capcom and SNK franchises; although most of the cast was generally considered as part of Street Fighter and The King of Fighters universes:

Originally Capcom vs. SNK 2 received mostly positive reviews, and while the game is virtually identical across all four consoles, the GameCube version received lower review scores due to the native control scheme of the GameCube controller, as paraphrased "not designed for traditional fighting games".

Famitsu gave it an score of 31 out of 40, while GameSpot gave a 5.4 out of 10; IGN gave it 6.6 out of 10.
