Cacnea () is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name . It is a Grass type Pokémon from the third generation games that evolves into Cacturne starting at level 32

It first appeared in the 6th episode of Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire A Poached Ego! Team Rocket from a Beedrill swarm, and then joining them at the end of the episode as they are uneasy about letting go of Arbok and Weezing. James leaves it with Gardenia so it can master Drain Punch in Once There Were Greenfields , the 54th episode of Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl
