The only major Cacnea in the anime has been James ' Cacnea. It first appeared in the 6th episode of Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire , A Poached Ego! , saving Team Rocket from a Beedrill swarm, and then joining them at the end of the episode as they are uneasy about letting go of Arbok and Weezing. James leaves it with Gardenia so it can master Drain Punch in Once There Were Greenfields , the 54th episode of Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl .
